WELCOME TO THE NORTH BAY YOUTH SOCCER CLUB

Hello Parents

We have been receiving a lot of emails, messages and calls regarding the cancellation of games due to rain, heat, weather warning, etc. Our office is open from 10am to 4pm and does not monitor Facebook or messenger after 4pm. The office only cancels games when the city of North Bay closes the fields. The city will send the office a notice that the fields are closed, normally by 4pm (when their office closes for the day) and the club then posts on the Facebook page and website that the games are cancelled. The club does not cancel games for storm, rain or heat warnings. During hot weather we ask that parents ensure their children bring water to their game and that coaches provide extra water breaks as needed. 

A lot can happen between 4pm, when the North Bay Youth Soccer Club’s office closes,  and your scheduled game. Should there be thunder and/or lighting at the time of your scheduled game do not proceed with the games as it is not safe. Coaches can also assess the fields and if the fields are unsafe such as water pooling and puddles on field at the time of your scheduled game the game should not proceed. Often it may start pouring rain at 5pm and by 6pm the weather has cleared up, sun shinning and the water has drained from the fields. The safety of your children and their coaches are our number one priority and concern.
